Roustem and I released 1Passwd version 2.4.5 late on Friday. Despite the minor version bump it actually includes a huge set of changes "under the hood", and several key improvements.
I'll detail the "noticeable" features below, but from our perspective the most important change came in the codebase itself. Specifically, Roustem has managed to find a way to merge the WebKit and Mozilla codebases. While this might not sound like much, it was a very hard nut to crack and now with this out of the way, the door is open for us to greatly improve all the extensions and allow development of cool new features.
While we're on the subject of code, I should let you know Roustem and I will be attending Apple's WWDC this week and look forward to meeting a lot of cool new folks. We'll be at the Delicious Generation WWDC party as well.
We're looking to expand the size of our development team so if the thought of "merged codebases" (i.e. DRY) makes you as happy as it makes us, please get in touch. Drop us an email and if you're at WWDC we'd love to meet you in person.
How to Upgrade
The upgrade process is quite straight forward if you use the built-in update mechanism. Simply select "Check For Upgrades" from the main 1Passwd menu. You can find full instructions (with pictures!) in the 1Passwd Upgrade Guide.
Note that we had a small (but painful) bug with the automatic update in an early release of version 2.4.0 (build 4740). In that version 1Passwd always tell you that your version is up-to-date, even when you are not. If you were unfortunate enough to get that version, you will need to follow the manual upgrade instructions in the above link.

Netscape Navigator 9
Netscape recently announced the release of version 9 of their "All New" Navigator web browser. Version 9 is a beta release but during my testing I found it quite stable and it was quite speedy.
With this release of 1Passwd we have added support for Navigator 9, taking our total number of supported browsers up 9. I guess we'll need to get Dan to update his interpretation of the ideal Dock:
(If you noticed Shiira is shown (but not supported, yet), and that NewNewsWire was missing, you get full points!)
Once we add Shiira support we'll have 10 browsers, which is an even number, which is very useful for making symmetrical Dock Images :)
Update: Wow, Dan is amazingly fast! Here's the new "1Passwd on the Dock" image:
Sweeeet :)
Greatly Improved Autosubmit
Having web pages submit automatically after they are filled has always been a key feature of 1Passwd, but until recently our success rate has only been about 60%.
This new version has made several major changes to how Autosubmit works and in our testing the success has been near 100%.
