NOTE: 1Password version 2.5 and above uses a new keychain file name — 1Password.keychain (instead of the old 1Passwd.keychain). When you use these instructions with 1Password 2.5+, make sure to substitute 1Passwd with 1Password.
In my last blog entry I discussed how important it is to backup your 1Passwd data and showed how this was done. Backing up our data makes us feel secure and gives us that warm and fuzzy feeling. This time out I am going to walk through restoring your 1Passwd keychain in the event that something were to happen to your primary 1Passwd keychain.
First, a little review of the backup process reminds us that we have up to 62 backups of our 1Passwd keychain on our hard drive. If we have not lost our entire hard drive this is the first place we want to look when the need arises.

What would do if you lost all your logins and passwords tomorrow? You could spend the next 3 days clicking on "forgot username/password" buttons as your inbox fills up with password recovery mails but that wouldn't be much fun. Usually we do not think about things like this until something happens.
Unfortunately, that is like buying tornado insurance after your house has already been hit by one. Everyone recommends full backups and it is universally accepted that this is a good thing; ideally we recommend the same. However, we know that very few people actually implement and execute a full fledged backup strategy. If you decide not to backup your entire hard drive regularly, we recommend you at least backup your 1Passwd data on a regular basis.

This new release adds support for the Leopard Developer Preview of OS X and improves overall system security and stability. This upgrade is free to all 1Passwd customers.
This release is packed full of "Blood and Tears" as supporting Leopard was incredibly hard. Now with that behind us we can get back to work on version 2.5! Yes, the much anticipated Wallet features and other cool features really are coming soon. As long as Apple doesn't release yet another beta in the next few weeks, we should be fine :)

Today it was an absolute delight to see 1Passwd mentioned in MacWorld's August Edition. Not only were we mentioned more than once, but were were reviewed too! (Full points to anyone who can spot the 10 times 1Passwd appears in the August Edition)
So, as a developer on 1Passwd, I have been focused on all the missing features that we're quickly working away at, that I assumed we would get a terrible review. I really did. But I was floored to see we received 4½ MICE! Put another way, 1Passwd was awarded this many Mice:
