1Password's Leopard support has blossomed wonderfully in the last 4 days. As I mentioned last time, we had Leopard support in the latest developer build given to us by Apple, but the final retail version of Leopard changed things and many browsers stopped working.
After some long nights and some heroics from the entire team, we now have 1Password working on the retail version of Leopard! Best of all, 1Password is now working in every single browser we supported on Tiger.
We are very proud that things are working now, but we owe our users a huge round of applause as they helped us track down issues, report bugs, helped other users in the forum, and most of all had patience and encouraged us as we worked through these issues.

When upgrading to 1Password version 2.5, we have have several reports from .Mac members that the new 1Password keychain has all of its contents duplicated. For instance, a 1Passwd keychain from version 2.4 containing 400 items would end up having 800 items, or even 1200 items in the new 1Password keychain in version 2.5.
This issue is being caused by how .Mac is performing the sync process. From what we can tell, there are two causes of the duplication.

NOTE: The Migration Assistant was included in 1Password up until version 2.5.8. The assistant was removed in version 2.5.9 as we needed to solve an issue it was causing and we had hoped most people had already upgraded. We will be adding a better solution in the future, but in the meantime if you need to migrate your 2.4 data to the latest version, download 1Password version 2.5.8 and run the Migration Assistant. Once migrated, you can upgrade to the latest version.
1Password 2.5 made a lot of changes to the underlying keychain format used to store your confidential information. Version 2.5 uses a new keychain called 1Password, and the Migration Assistant will create this keychain for you and migrate all your data from your previous 1Passwd keychain. When you start 1Password 2.5 for the first time it will present you with the Migration Assistant screen to everything setup for 2.5.

We recently announced that 1Password 2.5 added Leopard support. In 1Password 2.5 we tested with the latest developer build given to us by Apple, but the final retail version of Leopard changed things and many browsers stopped working.
We just released 1Password 2.5.1 which should now have full Leopard support. It has worked for many people so far, but sadly there are a few users still experiencing problem. We are still looking into perfecting things, but if you are on Leopard and want to give it a go, you can upgrade to version 2.5.1 by using the Check For Updates feature of 1Password, as shown here:

1Passwd gives you several options for automatically locking the keychain. For example, you can have it automatically lock after so a number of minutes of inactivity or when your Mac goes to sleep. However, sometimes you want to lock your 1Passwd keychain right now. (like when your crazy Uncle Alex is visiting and asks to use your Mac to check his web mail)
You could load the 1Passwd application and click on the lock icon. However, for those who want to do this frequently there is a better solution.

Katie from The MacCore invited us to come on her show and discuss 1Password. Katie and Corey have been long time 1Password users and it was an honour to be invited.

Carl had been working hard on answering a flood of email generated by the recent 1Password 2.5 beta release and 1Password for iPhone announcements, so we thought he could use a break. I asked Carl if he was interested and he jumped on the opportunity.

Since before the iPhone was released, passionate 1Password users have been begging us to support it. As Canadians we couldn't even get one, so Roustem and I travelled to Chicago to purchase a few for development.
After several grueling weeks, we are proud to announce that 1Password 2.5 sports a new icon on its toolbar!

Sync to iPhone will export all your 1Password data to an encrypted Safari Bookmarklet, which can then be used on the iPhone (or iPod Touch) to access all your information. Of course everything is encrypted with some seriously strong cryptography, namely 448-bit Blowfish with Cipher Block Chaning (CBC) and randomized salt.
Without further ado, let's see how this works!
