
1Password brings AutoFill support to Safari on iPhone and iPod touch!
Every iPhone and iPod touch user has cringed when they realized that Mobile Safari does not remember web site logins. Coupled with the fact Copy and Paste is nonexistent on the iPhone, users were forced to type their login information every time they wanted to access any password protected site.
The latest version of 1Password has the ability to sync to iPhone/iPod touch which will store all login information as a bookmarklet. When opened, this bookmarklet will allow automatic login into any website.

While at the Macworld Expo last week I had the distinct pleasure to meet one of my heros, Merlin Mann, from 43 Folders. I have talked about Merlin several times in the past, mostly about Inbox Zero as Merlin saved me from my painful overflowing inbox problem.
After shaking his hand and telling him what a huge fan I am, I demoed our new iPhone Autofill solution to him and Merlin liked it enough he came back with his camera man an hour later.
I'm was thrilled to met Merlin and now ecstatic that to be in an video interview with him! Here we are by our booth in the Apple Developer Pavilion:

1Password 2.5.9 was released today with a changelog that includes over 40 items! This is a huge "minor" point release, but it is still a free upgrade to all existing customers of 1Password. In fact, this is the 64th free update we've released since we began selling 1Password almost 2 years ago. Time sure flies when you are having fun :)

Most of the team is in San Francisco for the Macworld Expo this week. We had some pre-show "fun" with the booth setup, but now things are straightened out and now we're ready for the bug show to start!
During a smoke break Carl bumped into Mitch Wagner from Information Week and chatted about the show. Carl is now famous as Mitch mentions his conversation in his recent Early Macworld Arrivals Hoping For Ultra-Light MacBook post. It is a great read, and here are Carl's thoughts he shared with Mitch:
Carl Slawinski of Agile Web Solutions said his company is about to launch beta-testing of a Web version of its 1Password, Mac software for managing passwords and automatically filling in Web forms on any browser on the Mac. The Web version will allow users to store logins and passwords on the Internet, and access the information from any browser on any operating system -- the Mac, Windows, Linux, and smartphones. And a new bookmark applet will allow users to automatically fill in passwords and fill out forms -- again -- from any browser on any operating system.
As for Apple: "I have no idea what Apple will announce," Slawinski said. "I don't want to speculate."
And then he proceeded to speculate.
