Finding Your Old 1Passwd License Information

Now that the new license cards are mandatory we've a had a flood of people contact us for the new cards. Often people can't remember what email they registered with, and who can blame them? I personally have 7 email accounts, and that is just the ones I can remember! :)

So, what to do if you need to find out which email address you used to register 1Passwd several months ago? If you are a GMail user you can search for 1Passwd and find it pretty quick, but there is another way.

The original 1Passwd license was kept within the keychain itself. Here's how to find yours using the Keychain Access utility. If you are not familiar with Keychain Access, you can see this help topic about using Keychain Access.

Once opened, highlight the 1Passwd keychain and then search for "License". Since a picture is worth a thousand words, here is a screenshot:

Once you find the license (Called "1Passwd version 1.x ), double click on it. In the window that opens, click the "Show Password" checkbox, and then enter your password if Keychain Access prompts you for it.

Click on the password field, and then type CMD-A to highlight the entire fields contents, and then type CMD-C to copy it. You can then CMD-V the license into your favorite txt editor to find your email, or just email it to us and we'll send the new licenses to that account.
