Help 1Password win About.com's Reader's Choice Award 2010!

We're honored that 1Password 3 was nominated for About.com's 2010 Reader's Choice Awards in the Best System Utility category! We're up against some great competition like Default Folder X (which I personally use and love), MouseWizard, DaisyDisk, and MainMenu.

But as much as we love our fellow indie Mac apps, I do believe that it is our solemn duty to ruthlessly annihilate them in the spirit of friendly competition! If you love 1Password (even if it's just the platonic kind of love—y'know, nothin' weird), head over to About.com's Best Mac System Utility nomination page and click on 1Password under the poll section to vote! And if you're feeling particularly democratic, hit the main award voting page to vote on your favorite Mac apps across all categories.

I can't find details of About.com's voting rules, but if they're anything like most other sites these days, you are probably allowed to vote once in each category per day that voting is open. The polls are open now and run through the end of February, so show 1Password some clicky love and help us win About.com's Reader's Choice Best Mac Utility of 2010 award!

Macworld Day 3

The 1Password booth was in full swing today but I just had to take a break to accept the Macsimumnews / MacTech magazine Best of Show award.

We are all a bit worn out and called it an early night to get some rest for the final day of the show. See everyone tomorrow for the last day.

1Password touch: "Most Useful App"

We have just been informed that 1Password for the iPhone/iPod touch has been nominated in the "Most Useful App" category of the 2008 Best App Ever awards. Public voting is now open and will continue through 6th January, 2009. The winner will be announced on the 7th at Macworld.

1Passwd in Macworld Magazine - 4 and 1/2 MICE!!

Today it was an absolute delight to see 1Passwd mentioned in MacWorld's August Edition. Not only were we mentioned more than once, but were were reviewed too! (Full points to anyone who can spot the 10 times 1Passwd appears in the August Edition)

So, as a developer on 1Passwd, I have been focused on all the missing features that we're quickly working away at, that I assumed we would get a terrible review. I really did. But I was floored to see we received 4½ MICE! Put another way, 1Passwd was awarded this many Mice:

1Passwd on MacBreak Pick of the Week: Merlin Says "Me Too!"

I was absolutely thrilled to learn today that Merlin Mann picked 1Passwd on this weeks on MacBreak Weekly!

Merlin Mann is one of my heroes — his 43 Folders website is full of great GTD techniques and he is the one that taught me how to survive the onslaught of email using his Inbox Zero tricks.

It was a real hoot listening to Leo and Merlin banter on about how much they like 1Passwd. Here is a transcript from the MBW #42 show:

Version Tracker Editor Picks 1Passwd

It was great to see 1Passwd picked by the Version Tracker Editor earlier today:

Apparently the Editor had never approved an application so quickly. Usually they require extra testing and/or a few new updates to see improvement. I guess the Editor was already using 1Passwd :)
